The crags
The Massif des Bornes, playground
for climbers in La Roche-sur-Foron
On the edge of the Massif des Bornes and the Arve valley, La Roche-sur-Foron gives quick access to several quality limestone crags, including Le Petit Bornand, around twenty minutes away. Ideal terrain for an outdoor climbing introduction or for progressing on real rock.
Many indoor climbers have never touched real rock. That's exactly what this indoor-to-outdoor transition lesson offers: bringing the movement skills learned indoors to the crag, learning to read a natural route, and handling the real gear and psychological engagement of outdoor climbing (quickdraws, rope, outdoor belaying).
For families, it's also a chance for an accessible, safe first outdoor experience, less than 30 minutes from La Roche-sur-Foron, Bonneville or Annecy.

A passionate climber since childhood, I turned that passion into a profession by earning a Sports Science Degree (STAPS) specialising in Climbing and my official state instructor card, issued by the French Ministry of Sports.
I guide climbers of all levels — from first-time climbing introductions and family outings to advanced athletes looking to break technical plateaus. My goal: that you leave every session with real progress and genuine enjoyment.
Every outing is prepared carefully: site inspection, gear check (harnesses, helmets, rope, carabiners, quickdraws), weather assessment. Safety is the foundation of every session.
